To enjoy the full qualities of a hand made cigar, care needs to be taken in storing, cutting and lighting one's cigar. To help in these tasks we have selected quality accessories, with probably the most important aid being the humidor. Cigars continue to mature and develop up to the time of smoking and as great care has been taken in their manudacture your palate and enjoyment deserves care to the end.
Storage should be at 65-70 percent humidity and between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit (16-21 degrees Centigrade). A cutter to trim off the cap of the cigar, and we find the simple guillotine style of cutter gives the cleanest cut with no tearing of the wrapper. A recent Vee-Flame lighter from Corona is a great help in warming and charring the outer edge of the cigar without burning into the filler - this allows an even ash to form at the lighted end. Please Note, only use distilled water to moisten the humidity pads.
