Are Cuban cigars still the best cigars in the world today? | |
I wonder if people can't get Cuban cigars are the ones who think that Cubans aren't the best in the world. I will agree that the Dominicans and Nicaraguan cigars are getting close. Hondurans as well but the Mexican Cigars are terrible.
Lest I forget, here are my favorite brands as of today: 1) Plasencia Reserva Organica (100% organic) 2) Tatuaje 3) Graycliff 4) Gurkha 5) Padilla 6) Cohiba (Non-Cuban) 7) CAO
8) La Aurora 9) Montecristo (Non-Cuban) and 10) Romeo y Julieta. Notice, these brands are not cheap. My motto: Life is too short to smoke cheap cigars. I do not like: Paul Garmirian (PG) Cigars, and any Mexican brands or tobacco. I especially hate cigars which are mushy and not tightly rolled. Terrible!

1You know, you will get as many opinions and answers as there are different cigars out there on this topic. Cuban cigars are absolutly fantastic cigars, the tobacco is some of the best that you will find anywhere in the world.
The debate about if Cuban cigars still hold the title of the "best" cigar is up in the air. I think that the fact they are illegal in the US has played a part in this, since it doing or having something that you should not do or have always heightens an experience.
There are plenty of great cigars out there, be it Ashton, Davidoff, La Gloria Cubana, CAO, Cohiba, Gurkha Master Select, Monticristo, Partagas or Perdoma to just name a few. Try some and play around with it, they have some great new cigars out there!
